About Double D Mowing, Inc

By late July the cottonwoods in Soden's Grove hang heavy and the afternoon settles over Emporia like a warm hand. Double D Mowing, Inc times its routes to that heat — the open, sun-punished yards first thing, the shaded ones once the light goes long. Blades come up a notch through the dry weeks so the turf can shade its own roots, and the trimmer follows every foundation, post and mailbox. Clippings come off the driveway before the truck rolls on, because a finished yard ought to look finished from the street. Summer in Lyon County is hard on grass, and the skill is in reading it week to week and cutting to what it needs.
