Edgerton has changed fast, with rail sidings and warehouse lots now spread across ground that was fescue pasture only a few years back, and Bader & Sons Contracting LLC works both halves of that landscape once winter sets in. Long approach drives out on the old farm section roads get cleared first, before the crew moves toward the newer streets near the rail yard, where truck traffic can't sit waiting on a drift to melt on its own. Snow off open ground blows hard here, refilling behind a plow almost as fast as it clears, so a heavier storm usually means running the same lot twice. Salt gets applied heaviest on anything with a grade to it, since Edgerton's low rolling hills turn a wet spot to ice fast once the sun's down. Warehouse lights are usually just coming up over the logistics park when the crew finishes its last pass for the night.
