About Sunny Slope LLC

Durham is small enough that Sunny Slope LLC knows which driveways drift first — usually the ones angled straight into the wind coming off the open Flint Hills pasture west of Antelope Creek. Those long gravel approaches get cleared before the crew works back toward the handful of streets near the old bank building downtown. There's no traffic to route around out here, just fence lines, a grain elevator standing alone against a flat sky, and a short list of driveways that all need to be passable before anyone can drive out to check on cattle. Ice on the steps and short walks gets scraped off last, once the plow work is finished and there's time to do it by hand. In a town this size, the whole route doesn't take long to run, but every driveway on it is somebody's only way out.
