About Republican Valley Landscape, LLC

The Republican River comes down out of Nebraska and lays a wide green bottomland across the north of Cloud County, cottonwoods leaning over the water and the ground holding its softness deep into May. Republican Valley Landscape, LLC takes its name from that valley and spends the year on its lawns — mowing, trimming and edging, and the spring cleanups that pull winter's litter out of every corner. Valley yards grow like they mean it in a wet April and turn stubborn in an August dry spell, so cutting height follows the ground instead of the calendar. There is a real pleasure in the last pass of a long day: the lines coming true, the edge along the drive cut sharp, everything swept and standing quiet in the low sun. Then the leaves come, and the long tidy-up that leaves a yard clean under the first frost.
