About Dumm Luck Lawn Care

Weather in Coffeyville comes up out of the southwest with plenty of warning and no manners at all — a low shelf of cloud over the flat, then rain enough to put a shine on the Verdigris. Dumm Luck Lawn Care reads those windows and mows inside them, taking the dry morning that sits between two storm days and getting a yard cut and blown off before the next line moves through. Afterward there is the sorting out: small limbs down, clippings washed toward the gutters, a block that suddenly wants trimming it did not need on Monday. Grass grows hard in this valley on that kind of water, so edging and string trimming are what keep walks, beds and fence lines from quietly disappearing. Some of the luck is the sky, and some of it is being hitched up and ready the hour the ground dries.
