Stump Busters ICT

About Stump Busters ICT

Between Clearwater and the edge of Wichita, a winter ice storm tends to bring down as much wood as it does snow, and that's exactly the kind of mess Stump Busters ICT already knows how to clear. Once the snow itself is down, the same trucks that haul off ground-out stumps all summer switch to hauling snow off driveways and lot edges instead, working outward from Clearwater's town square toward the open Sedgwick County section roads. The prairie around Clearwater doesn't hold much back from the wind, and a hard front can drift snow against a fence line fast enough to bury the bottom rail by noon. The crew reads a snowed-in driveway with the same patience they'd use sizing up a stump, working the edges first before clearing the middle down to bare ground. It's a different season's work than summer, but the same trucks, the same crew, and the same stretch of ground between Clearwater and the city.
