Crosshart Contracting

About Crosshart Contracting

On a clear summer night in Burdett, the sky over Pawnee County is so crowded with constellations that it is easy to picture a young Clyde Tombaugh studying these same heavens from a farm near town before he went on to find Pluto. Crosshart Contracting does its looking a little closer to the ground. By day the work is lawn care: rows mowed straight enough to navigate by, edges trimmed true where grass meets gravel, yards left open and even under the enormous plains light. Wind rarely rests out here, and a tended lawn is one of the small ways a household answers it. When dusk turns the fields violet, the yards Crosshart has worked look smooth enough to lie back on and count satellites.
