About Gardner Repair

Gardner Repair's shop sits a block off the Republic County courthouse square, the kind of garage that's worked on trucks from half the farms around Belleville. When snow moves through, the same crew clears the lot out front and the walk along that stretch of Main, so customers dropping off a truck aren't fighting a drift to get to the door. The courthouse square stays one of the first parts of town plowed by the city, but the sidewalks and lots along it are left to the businesses that front them. A clear approach to the shop matters on the coldest mornings especially, when a truck that won't start is exactly the kind of problem that can't wait for a thaw. The lot's usually clear well before the shop opens.
