About sck seed & irrigation services

The irrigation pivots that stand over Sumner County's fields all summer go still by December, parked at the edges of ground that once marked a crossing on the old Chisholm Trail. sck seed & irrigation services works that same farmland in winter, clearing the access lanes between fields and the driveways of the farmsteads that own them. Snow drifts differently around a stilled pivot than across open ground, piling against the wheels and pipe in long ridges that need clearing before spring fieldwork can even be scheduled. Belle Plaine City Lake, quiet and half-frozen most winters, isn't far from some of that ground, and the cold off the water reaches the nearest fields first. Getting those lanes passable keeps the whole operation on schedule once the thaw finally comes.
