About GARCIA TREE SERVICE LLC

Arkansas City stands where the Walnut runs into the Arkansas, a short drive from the Oklahoma line, with cottonwoods marking both rivers the whole way down. GARCIA TREE SERVICE LLC works those bottoms and the town blocks above them — taking out elms and cottonwoods the wind has hollowed, trimming hackberry and pecan back from the rooflines. Pruning is a winter job on the plains, done in the still hours before the afternoon wind gets up. Cowley County storms cross open ground with nothing to break them; the cleanup after one is heavy work, and it is not over until the yard, the alley and the fence line are clear. What's left is a flat lawn, a swept alley, and one less thing to watch in a windstorm.
