About McCune Tree Service

An ice storm settles on Butler County about once a winter, and by morning every bur oak and hackberry in Andover is glass — lovely and dangerous in the same breath. McCune Tree Service is out in that weather, taking limbs off driveways, pulling down hangers, clearing damage before somebody backs a car into it. Winter is also the season for the slower work, pruning while the crowns are bare and the shape of a tree can be read plainly from the ground. Trimming, removals, stump work, and the hauling afterward, so the yard looks like nothing ever came down. Cottonwoods along the creeks out here grow enormous, and giving them their due is most of the job.
