Ansel's Lawn Care

About Ansel's Lawn Care

October in the older blocks of Andover is a two-week business: the hackberries and pin oaks hold on, hold on, then let go all at once, and every yard is suddenly ankle deep. Ansel's Lawn Care runs the fall the same way — mowing the leaves down small, hauling off what the deck cannot take, dropping the cut a shade lower as the grass slows for the year. Autumn light here goes long and gold across the driveways by four o'clock, and a cleared lawn under it looks swept as a kitchen floor. Come April the same yards get the first cut of the season and the beds get their winter litter pulled out, and the whole round begins again.
