Blue Collar Services

About Blue Collar Services

Long before Zionsville's brick Main Street sees its first pedestrian, Blue Collar Services has trucks rolling down the old Lincoln Highway route through town, clearing the way while the gas lamps are still lit. The brick pavers that give this stretch its character also make it trickier to plow clean, so the crew works low and careful along the curb lines near the old depot grounds before fanning out to driveways across town. Boone County winters bring both the powdery snow that blows off open farmland to the west and the wetter, heavier falls that pile onto the newer neighborhoods east toward Indianapolis, and the routes are built to answer both. By the time shopkeepers unlock their doors on Main Street, the block is already salted and clear. It is early, deliberate work in a town that likes to greet its mornings looking unhurried and clean.
