About Down to Earth Landscape & Lawncare Inc.

Winamac calls itself the muskrat capital of the world come festival time, but in January the fairgrounds sit empty and white, and Down to Earth Landscape & Lawncare works the streets around them with the same plain steadiness the town carries the rest of the year. Pulaski County farmland surrounds Winamac on every side, flat ground broken only by the Tippecanoe's slow bend through the middle of town, and a good snowfall here tends to lie even and quiet rather than drift hard the way it might further north. This crew works the town's modest grid of streets methodically, one driveway after another, more concerned with finishing every single one than with any single showpiece job. A small town's streets all finished by midmorning, no block skipped just because it's smaller or quieter than the next, is the unhurried standard this crew holds itself to. By the time the courthouse clock strikes ten, Winamac looks like itself again, snow pushed back to the yards where it belongs and the streets running clean in between.
