About J.a.D. Services

Whiting's yards are small and particular — bungalow lots off 119th Street, back gangways, alley aprons, a strip of grass that has to be right because you take it all in at a glance. J.a.D. Services works that tight geometry with a push mower and a trimmer, cutting close along fence posts and garage slabs where nothing larger fits. The lake sits a few blocks north, and the wind coming off it can lay the grass flat and carry gull noise well inland. Near the beach the sand finds its way into everything, so clearing and cleanup matter as much as the mowing does. Done properly, a Whiting lawn is a green rectangle with hard, clean corners, and that is the whole point of it.
