About Smith Lawn Care

At noon in July the Kosciusko County courthouse throws almost no shadow on the square, and the lawns a few blocks out sit still and bright under it. Smith Lawn Care runs those streets on a steady weekly rhythm, because a yard cut on schedule never has to be rescued — it just stays even, dense and the same clean height from the porch steps to the alley. Warsaw sits on old glacial ground, sandy in places and heavy in others, and knowing which block is which decides how short the deck goes when the heat sets in. The trimmer work gets the fence lines and the tree rings; the blower takes the walks and the curb; nothing green is left on the concrete when the truck pulls away. It is a plain kind of pride, but there's a lot of it in a straight edge along a sidewalk.
