About Diggerz llc

On the south edge of Warsaw, where the streets start leaning toward Winona Lake and the old tabernacle grounds that made this stretch famous a century ago, Diggerz llc often works the evening shift instead of the morning one, clearing lots and drives after Grace College's classes let out for the day. Snow that falls through a Kosciusko County afternoon has usually packed down hard by dusk, glazed by whatever thin sun made it through the clouds, and it takes a heavier pass to break it loose again. The lake nearby holds the cold close after dark, and frost creeps back onto a cleared walk faster here than it does farther from the water. There's a particular kind of work in clearing a place as the light goes rather than as it comes — headlights instead of streetlamps, porch lights switching on one by one down the block. By the time Winona Lake's shoreline goes fully dark, the drives along it are already scraped down and salted against the overnight refreeze.
