J & M Mowing

About J & M Mowing

Drive east out of Wabash along the river and the country stops pretending to be flat — the ground folds, the limestone shoulders up near Lagro, and the cicadas take over the afternoon. J & M Mowing runs that stretch in midsummer, when the grass comes back fast and a missed week shows. Mowing first, then trimming the fence rows and the awkward ground around outbuildings, then edging and a sweep of the sidewalk and drive. Farmhouse yards, in-town lots, the long approaches off the county roads: each one gets cut on its own turn, weekly or every other week as the season demands. A yard finished right at four o'clock, with the heat still shimmering off the blacktop, is a good thing to leave behind.
