Weston's Lawn Service

About Weston's Lawn Service

Morning comes to Vincennes off the Wabash, mist standing low in the bottomland until the sun burns it back toward the Illinois bluffs. That early hour is the one Weston's Lawn Service works best — dew still heavy, the mower laying down a clean line while the town is quiet. The old streets here run wide and level under big sycamores, and grass grown on that flat river ground shows every stripe honestly, so the cut has to be straight. The work is mowing, string trimming around fence posts and mailboxes, a crisp edge cut along walks and driveways, and clippings blown off the pavement so the concrete reads as sharp as the lawn. Come fall the sycamore and maple leaves drop all at once, and those get gathered up too, yard by yard, until the whole block looks put away and ready for the cold.
