Double D Property Maintenance & Snow Removal

About Double D Property Maintenance & Snow Removal

At three in the morning the township is nothing but yellow porch lights and the long orange sweep of a plow lamp. Double D Property Maintenance & Snow Removal is out in it — opening driveways, cutting a path down to the mailbox, clearing lots and walks and putting salt where the melt refroze into glass overnight. Winter here doesn't announce itself; it comes in gray and low and simply stays, and a drifted lane can shut a household in until somebody moves it. Being that somebody is the entire point of the job. There's a particular hush at the end of a route, when the last drive is squared to the pavement and everyone else's morning can begin.
