About Stuber Outdoor Services

Van Buren sits small and unhurried in the Mississinewa River valley, the kind of Grant County crossroads where a snowfall covers the gravel roads before it ever makes the Marion news. Stuber Outdoor Services runs those roads at first light, clearing the lanes that lead out to the farmsteads scattered between here and Jonesboro. The river bottoms hold cold air longer than the ridges above them, so frost lingers white on fence lines long after the plow has passed. It's quiet work in a quiet place — a driveway cleared, a farm lane opened, a path shoveled to a mailbox before the carrier comes through. By midmorning the crossroads looks like itself again, gravel showing gray under a sky still deciding whether it's done.
