About Torres Lawn & Landscaping

October on the older streets near Ogden Gardens means oak and maple letting go all at once, gutters filling, lawns vanishing under a foot of color. Torres Lawn & Landscaping takes that on: leaves gathered and hauled off, beds cut back and mulched, the last mows of the year taken low so the turf heads into the cold clean. Through the warm months it is mowing, trimming and edging on a weekly rhythm, plus the planting and bed work that gives a Valparaiso yard its bones. There is a particular pleasure in the final pass of a cleanup, when a lawn buried at eight in the morning is bare green grass by three. That is a season put to bed properly.
