About Nature Cuts, Inc.

The moraine that gives Valparaiso its long, slow hills is still holding dew when the first mower comes off the trailer. Nature Cuts, Inc. is a lawn care outfit working those rolling yards south of town, where the ground never lies quite flat and every pass has to be read before it is cut. Mowing, trimming and edging here mean following the grade instead of fighting it, so the lines bend the way the land does. By mid-morning the clippings are blown off the walk and the driveway is clean enough to read the seams in the concrete. What is left is a yard that looks like someone paid attention to it, which on this ridge is the whole job.
