Elite Snow Removal

About Elite Snow Removal

Lake-effect bands roll off Lake Michigan and pile up fast against Porter County's moraine hills, and long before the courthouse square in downtown Valparaiso stirs to life, Elite Snow Removal has already carved clean lines down the brick streets that ring it. The crew works driveway by driveway through the neighborhoods east of Central Park Plaza, past frosted maples and porch lights still burning against the dark. There's a particular satisfaction in a Valpo morning when the plows finish ahead of the Valparaiso University crowd, and the first commuters heading for the South Shore platform find bare pavement instead of drifts. Snow here rarely falls politely — it comes sideways off the lake in bursts — so the routes get run again and again until the last flake stops falling. By the time the sun clears the water tower, the town looks like it never stopped moving.
