About Sellers Lawn Care and snowplowing

Union Mills earned its name from the grist mills that once ran along the creek here, grinding local grain for the farms spread out across this stretch of La Porte County, and though the mills themselves are history, the same rural rhythm still governs a winter morning in town. Sellers Lawn Care and snowplowing works those farm lanes and the handful of in-town streets the same way the old mills worked grain — steadily, one property at a time, whatever the weather sends down. A La Porte County snow can come in off the open country fast and heavy, filling in a cleared driveway again before the truck's even reached the end of the road, so getting an early start matters more here than the size of the storm. Out past the edge of town, where farmhouses sit well back from the county road behind long gravel lanes, a plowed path is the only thing standing between a family and a day stuck at home. By the time most of Union Mills is up and moving on a snowy morning, this crew has already worked its way down half the lanes it covers, the creek running quiet and half-iced somewhere behind the old mill site.
