West of Tell City the land tilts — loess and sandstone hills rolling back toward Leopold and Bristow, and half the lawns out there are cut on a grade. Hoosier Hills Lawn Care mows those slopes in August, when the fescue turns tough and the afternoons stack heat on top of heat. Trimming the banks, edging where a gravel drive meets grass, taking the steep passes slow and level: it makes a hillside yard look deliberate instead of accidental. There is a particular pride in a hill finished with no scalped turns anywhere on it. The routes cover the hill country and the town below it.
