About Excelawn

Tell City was laid out by Swiss settlers who left the streets names like Pestalozzi, Blum and Schiller, and on a July evening those long blocks hold their heat well past supper. Excelawn mows in the cool half of the day — grass taken to an even height, string trimming worked around mailbox posts and fence lines, edges run arrow-straight down the walk. The reward is that hour when the light turns gold over the rooftops and a whole street of yards reads as one continuous, unbroken stretch. Week-to-week maintenance through the growing months is what keeps it looking that way. It is unhurried work, done in order, on the same day each time.
