About Pemberton Landscaping and Snow Removal

Inside the conservatory at Potawatomi Park, the glass stays warm and green all winter no matter what's piling up outside the doors, and every morning after a snowfall somebody has to clear a path to that warmth before the first visitors arrive. Pemberton Landscaping and Snow Removal spends its summers shaping the beds and borders around South Bend properties and its winters keeping the ground beneath all that planning walkable, plowing driveways and clearing steps with the same patience it brings to a spring planting. A morning after a heavy overnight snow has its own particular light — flat white, hushed, the whole city looking briefly unfamiliar until the first tire tracks and shoveled paths start cutting through it. This crew is usually one of those first tracks, working residential streets on the south side while the snow is still coming down in places. By the time most of South Bend is out with coffee in hand, the walk to the door is already bare, and the conservatory's glass roof is holding its green against a sky that's given up on color for the day.
