Tharp's Lawn Care & Tree Service

About Tharp's Lawn Care & Tree Service

Haw Creek winds through the east side of Columbus under old sycamores and silver maples, and those big trees are half the story of any yard here — shade in July, a storm-dropped limb in August, a knee-deep drift of leaves by Halloween. Tharp's Lawn Care & Tree Service takes on both halves: the grass below and the canopy above. That means mowing kept on schedule through the growing season, and it also means climbing into a maple to take out the dead wood before an ice storm does it first. When a trunk has to come down, it comes down clean, and the yard is left looking like the tree simply stepped away. Autumn along the creek is the busy stretch — chainsaw in the morning, rake by afternoon, and a lawn that goes into winter clear and open to the low southern light.
