About Minnick Lawn and Landscaping LLC

Saint Joe sits at a quiet crossroads where the St. Joe River bends through DeKalb County, close enough to the Amish farms nearby that a buggy and a plow truck sometimes share the same gravel road on a winter morning. Minnick Lawn and Landscaping keeps the lawns and beds around town looking kept through the growing season, then turns the same crew and trucks to clearing driveways and walks once the snow starts coming off Lake Michigan's cold shoulder each January. The river bottoms ice over first, holding frost in low spots long after the higher ground has thawed some, so the crew learns early which driveways will need a second look. Mornings start out along the township roads before the mail carrier starts the rural route, clearing farmhouse lanes and the short in-town driveways alike. By the time the river's ice starts to break up in March, the mowers are already coming back out of the shed.
