About Wassmer's Property Maintenance LLC - tractor work, tree removal, gravel/mulch/dirt delivery, garden tilling.

Out past Rockville toward Turkey Run, the county roads dip through creek bottoms and climb back out through farmland that Wassmer's Property Maintenance works all year long—running the tractor for tilling, hauling gravel and mulch and dirt up long farm lanes, taking down the trees that finally give out after an ice storm. Winter just adds a blade to the same tractor and the same trucks that spend April moving topsoil and October moving firewood. The lanes back to the farmhouses out this way are gravel and dirt themselves, so plowing them takes the same feel for the ground that tilling a garden bed does—knowing where the low spots pool and where the frost heaves first. Crews are out clearing those lanes and the driveways off them well before the morning chores are done, then back again if a second band of snow follows the first. Turkey Run's sandstone ravines hold their frost long after the open cropland nearby has shed its snow, while the tractors keep working the farm ridges above them.
