About Yogi Lawn Care LLC

Sunrise on the west side of Portage, out toward Ogden Dunes, and the first mow of the year is waiting: grass tall from a wet April, sand mixed through the soil, the sky above the ridge going pink. Yogi Lawn Care LLC opens the season there — cutting back that first heavy growth, trimming out the corners winter left rough, edging the walks until the shape of the yard comes back. After that it is a steady rotation of mowing, trimming, edging and clearing through the long green middle of a Northwest Indiana summer. The best part is the view from the curb at the end of it: banded turf, a straight edge, not a clipping on the drive. Portage and the streets that carry on into the next town.
