About Element Grounds Company

Weather up here doesn't ask permission — a lake band grays out the sky over Plymouth in the morning and by two o'clock the sun is back, hot on the open fields. Element Grounds Company plans around that, taking the dry windows when they come and leaving a yard finished rather than half-done. The satisfaction is in the definition: turf held to an even height, a hard clean line where grass meets concrete, no stragglers at the base of a tree. Marshall County ground is glacial and uneven in its gifts — sandy in places, black and rich in others — and it grows different lawns a block apart. Reading the ground is most of the job; the mowing is the easy part.
