Taylor's Lawn Maintenance

About Taylor's Lawn Maintenance

November dusk arrives at four-thirty in Plainfield, and the last mowing of the year happens in that thin blue light with the mower headlamp on and woodsmoke somewhere on the air. Taylor's Lawn Maintenance closes out the season the way it opened it — turf cut low and even, leaves blown off the grass and hauled away, beds cleared, gutters of the drive swept clean before the first hard freeze. All summer it is the weekly rounds: mowing, trimming the corners, edging until the walk shows a straight brown line, feeding the lawn so it can carry the August heat. Come March the rake comes back out for the winter's litter and the whole cycle begins again. A yard tended year to year gets easier and better looking every season, and that is the reward.
