About McMullen Lawn and Landscape

Storms in Guilford Township announce themselves from a long way off — a green-gray wall stacking up west of Plainfield over open corn ground, and twenty minutes of warning before it arrives. McMullen Lawn and Landscape reads that sky all summer, working the route ahead of the rain and coming back after to clear what the wind knocked down. The regular work is mowing, trimming and edging, with beds shaped and mulched and thin turf fed until it closes over. Out where the subdivisions meet the fields the wind is constant and the soil turns hard, so aeration and seed in the cool of the year earn their keep. Standing back at the end of a yard, with the mower lines running true toward the fencerow, is reason enough to keep at it.
