Clow's Lawn Care

About Clow's Lawn Care

Benton County is horizon country — black soil, section roads running arrow-straight, turbines turning slow above the corn. Oxford sits in the middle of it, the town that raised Dan Patch, small and square beneath an enormous sky. Clow's Lawn Care mows and trims and edges through the long prairie summer, when the wind never quite stops and the grass comes on hard after every storm. Out here the yards run wide and the wind scatters clippings, so the finish work — the blow-off, the clean line at the drive — is what separates a cut lawn from a kept one. In fall the leaf work goes quickly and the fields turn gold, and the whole county opens up again.
