Heroes Lawn Care

About Heroes Lawn Care

July in Warrick County holds its heat well past supper, and the mowers run on into that long southern-Indiana evening when the cicadas start up. Heroes Lawn Care works Newburgh's newer streets, out where the neighborhoods reach toward Friedman Park and the lawns lie wide and open to the sun. The routine hardly varies: mow on a set rotation, trim around trees, hydrants and fence posts, edge the sidewalks, then blow every last clipping back onto the turf where it belongs. Done steadily, a yard never has a bad week — no scalped stripes in August, no shaggy corners left after a rain. Pulling out at dusk with a whole block cut to one even height is its own kind of satisfaction.
