New construction driveways, barely cured concrete, get plowed alongside older farmhouse lanes that take the same straightforward pass, the freight trains still running the tracks through town marking time between one storm and the next. Sidewalks in the newer developments get swept the same morning the driveways are done, since a lot of these streets are still filling in with young trees that don't yet block any wind.
