Down where New Albany's streets flatten out along Bicentennial Park and the riverfront greenway, the Ohio River throws back whatever light a winter sun manages, and that's usually the scene by the time Powell Outdoor Solutions gets to the driveways nearest the water. The flats hold snow differently than the hill streets to the north, wetter and heavier off the river air, so the plows run a slower, deliberate pass to keep from packing it into ice on the return trip.
