Soup's Lawn Care

About Soup's Lawn Care

First light on the county roads outside Nappanee. Dew on everything, a grain elevator standing up out of the flat, and now and then the clop of a buggy passing on the shoulder. Soup's Lawn Care starts the day early out here, moving from town yards to country lawns, mowing while the air is still cool and the ground is firm. Then trimming along the hedgerow, around the mailbox, up against the porch skirt — the places a mower can never quite reach. It is unhurried, repeating work, and by the time the sun is high the lawns behind them are cut level and clean to the last corner.
