SPECIALTY TREE CARE

About SPECIALTY TREE CARE

East of Muncie, the woods around Prairie Creek Reservoir hold onto a freeze longer than the open town does, ice building up on branches that lean out over water that hasn't quite locked up yet. SPECIALTY TREE CARE works the properties out along that tree line, taking down limbs that have cracked under the weight before they come down on their own, onto a driveway or a dock. It's quieter work out there than downtown, no traffic, just saws and the occasional call of a bird that didn't bother heading south. Once a limb's down, it gets cut and cleared off whatever path or drive it was blocking, the wood stacked well clear of the water's edge. The reservoir keeps its gray, half-frozen surface either way, unmoved by the work going on around it.
