About D and L Outdoor Services

A historic ballpark stands on the West Side, Bosse Field's outfield gone quiet and white every winter between seasons. D and L Outdoor Services works the brick and asphalt streets around it, where old brick holds ice longer than the newer pavement a block over. Driveways here are often narrow and set close to the street, so the crew clears many by hand where a plow blade would only chip the brick loose. Walks get salted twice on the coldest mornings, once before sunrise and once after, and by the time neighbors head out the block is clear enough that footing isn't a worry.
