2nd to None Lawn Service

About 2nd to None Lawn Service

Evening comes to Mount Vernon the way it always has — down Main Street and out onto the Ohio, where a towboat pushes its lights upriver and the water goes the color of poured pewter. 2nd to None Lawn Service works the yards that slope toward that view, mowing and trimming and edging until the lines run as straight as the channel markers. There is real satisfaction in the last pass of a Friday: clippings blown off the walk, the grass standing up in clean bands, the smell of it hanging in the humid river air. Summer here arrives heavy and green, and a lawn kept on rhythm carries it well. This is lawn care in a river town, done so that when the porch lights come on, the yard looks the way its owner pictured it.
