About Will's Property Maintenance, LLC

Michigan City wakes with the lake on its breath — that cool air sliding in off the water past Sheridan Beach and up the sandy streets before the South Shore train rattles down 11th. Will's Property Maintenance, LLC keeps to those early hours, when the grass is still heavy with dew and a mower lays down a clean dark stripe you can see from the sidewalk. The light sand near the dunes and the heavier ground out toward Trail Creek want different things from a blade, and each yard here gets read before it gets cut. The pride is in the edge: a line along the walk so straight it looks drawn, corners string-trimmed tight to the post and the fence, clippings swept off the drive before the truck pulls away. Come fall, leaves arrive in the same direction the wind does, and the cleanups follow them across the block. By the time the sun goes long and orange over Washington Park, the lawns along the route are holding their shape.
