Duneland Landscape

About Duneland Landscape

Toward Beverly Shores the yards trail off into marram grass and pine, and the line between a lawn and a dune is whatever somebody decides to keep. Duneland Landscape works that edge of Michigan City in late August, when the sand holds heat into the night and turf needs cutting with a light touch rather than a heavy one. Mowing, trimming, edging and cleanups make up the list, adapted to ground that is more sand than soil and slopes when you least expect it. Grass out here grows in its own pattern, and cutting it well means working with that instead of against it. The best afternoons end with a mown yard sitting clean inside all that wild grass, each one making the other look better.
