About Ribley's Property Maintenance, L.L.C.

South of Martinsville the level ground gives out and Morgan County starts folding into ravines and wooded ridges that run all the way down into Morgan-Monroe State Forest. October gets loud out there, hickory and oak letting go by the bushel, and lawns pitched on those slopes need someone willing to work a hillside on foot. Ribley's Property Maintenance, L.L.C. handles mowing, trimming, edging and leaf cleanup for yards in town and for the smaller places scattered off toward Paragon and Brooklyn. A sloped lawn cut with the contour instead of against it looks like a different property entirely — the stripes bend where the land bends, and the whole hill seems to sit down. By the time the last load of leaves is hauled off, the grass underneath is dark and open again, ready to sleep. Leave it clean, leave it breathing: that is the whole aim of the season's work.
