About From the Ground Up Lawn and Landscaping

Start with the dirt. On Madison's hillside lots the topsoil runs thin where the grade was cut and deep where it settled, and any lawn that ignores that will tell on you by July. From the Ground Up Lawn and Landscaping takes the name at its word — a seedbed prepared, seed or sod laid, beds shaped and mulched, then mowing and trimming kept honest while the whole thing fills in. There is a stretch in midsummer when a new lawn finally knits together and stops looking new, and that moment is the payoff. From Hanover to the north hilltop the approach doesn't change: build it right underneath and the green takes care of itself.
