About Lone Tree, LLC

East of Linton the land gives way to Goose Pond, where sandhill cranes drop into the shallows by the thousands every fall and the horizon is mostly sky. Out in that country a single tree left standing in a field becomes a landmark, a thing people give directions by — which is where Lone Tree, LLC gets its name and something of its outlook. The work is lawn mowing, trimming and edging on properties in and around town, the ones with a shade tree in the middle and the ones with nothing but open grass. Autumn is the honest season for it: cool mornings, the grass slowing down, every pass showing plainly in the flat light. A yard finished right sits in that landscape like it belongs there.
