Whiteaker Snow Removal

About Whiteaker Snow Removal

Long after Lafayette's storefronts go dark and the courthouse square empties out, Whiteaker Snow Removal is still moving, plows working block by block through the coldest hours of the night so the whole town wakes up to streets already handled. By the time the first gray light comes up over the Wabash and its bridges, the overnight's work is mostly invisible, which is the point. Downtown, the west-side subdivisions, the rural roads at the county's edge — the run covers a lot of ground before the sun does. There's a particular satisfaction in finishing a route just as the town starts stirring, headlights giving way to porch lights giving way to full daylight. Done overnight and done thoroughly, that's how Lafayette gets an ordinary morning out of an extraordinary night.
