Summit Outdoor

About Summit Outdoor

From the levee downtown the Wabash runs low and slow through late August, and the bluffs on either side hold Lafayette up above its own river. Summit Outdoor works the yards on that high ground, where the slope means every mowing line has to be planned and every trimmer pass around a retaining wall is done on foot. Late summer here is stubborn — the grass tires, the soil bakes, and a lawn needs feeding more than it needs cutting. So the visits balance both: mow, edge the walks along the hill streets, treat what the heat let in, and keep the turf standing until the cooler weeks arrive. Come autumn the leaves slide downhill into every corner, and clearing them is the last honest job of the year.
